What our customers say!

Tia: When we first brought Tia to daycare, we originally chose Tails of the City because they took young puppies. We had no idea what an important role they would play in the life of our dog and our own lives. The care and attention she receives is beyond any we have seen before. To be honest, there are more convenient daycare locations for our pup to go, but when dropping off our girl somewhere else, she lays her ears down and reluctantly enters the facility...all the while breaking our hearts with a look that says "I want to go with you". However, when we drop Tia off at Tails, she can't wait to get inside. And we believe this is because of the wonderful people that work there. The best example happened just a few short weeks ago. I had just dropped off our precious little girl and as I was walking to our car I looked back to see the most touching sight. Unbeknownst to her, there was Ondie giving our Tia a huge, loving bear hug before taking her in and turning her loose with the rest of Tia's friends at Tails. It's just a complete comfort to know she is in good hands all day long. To put it simply, Tails is the best. -- Tia's parents, Jon & Dawn

Biscuit: When I'm not at home making sure all my toys are bunched in a proper group, I'm thoroughly enjoying myself at Tails of the City. I've been coming here since I was a wee pup of four months and have made some great friends. My little fluffy bottom wiggles with joy when Olivia and Elaine greet me in the morning and I'm always sad to go. In fact, I will usually make a bid for more playtime when my mom comes to get me and run back inside at the last minute. It drives her crazy.--Biscuit "Baby Bear" Wright

Cymry: Cymry has been coming to Tails of the City since it first opened. She LOVES it. She always comes home happily exhausted. She has made lots of friends and we even see them periodically at the dog parks. It's always a joyful reunion. We recently moved to Vashon Island where Cymry has 5 acres to play all to herself, but she still wants to go to TOTC, so we bring her over at least once a week to play. Elaine and Olivia are the best! Cymry says thanks so much for all the love and attention! --Cymry's Mom, Liz
Tyler: Excitement is an understatement in describing Tyler’s fondness for Tails of The City. Upon arrival, he jumps out of the car and almost does cartwheels when sees Elaine or Olivia open the door. He has a dog “smile” when he runs inside and when it is time to leave he doesn’t want to go home. As a result of his doggie daycare experience he mixes well with other dogs, both at daycare and during his walks at home. I think Tyler believes Elaine, Olivia and the rest of the staff are his long, lost relatives. He loves them!
-- Tyler’s dad, Bill
Sydney: Love. That's the best word to describe our relationship with Elaine, Olivia and Tails of the City. When we drop Sydney off in the morning, the pup sits at attention, tail wagging, waiting for either Elaine or Olivia to open up the DOG PARK that awaits inside. It's always wonderful to see these women greet Sydney - there's no doubt in our mind that they love her just as much as we do!
--Sydney's Mom & Dad, Amy & Chris
Wexford: This is the most marvelous center for care of your pet. Wexford comes home completely relaxed and ready for an evening of lying by your chair/bed. He gets very excited when he realizes where he is going and runs to the door when we park. If he could open the door, he would. He always can hardly wait for me to do so. Elaine and Olivia are unique. We wouldn't leave Wexford any place but Tails of the City! --Wexford's Moms, Valerie and Paula
Cutter: Wanted to let you know that Cutter has been so much happier now that he goes to Tails of The City. Thanks for everything.--Cutters Mom & Dad, Joan & Doug
Izzy has been a “stay at home while mom works” doggie. When I noticed that she was becoming aggressive with other dogs, I knew that she needed to be around new people and especially new and different dogs , in a safe place.
Tails of the City has been good for Izzy and for me. She is more calm and relaxed around others now. I know she is having a fun day. and that Daschunds on Parade and there she was, with over 200 other dogs, children adults and noise with not a single bark ore sign of fear.
Thank you to the owners and staff for giving her some very special times...and great behavior.
Marilyn, Izzy’s Mom

Freya:
Before I started bringing Freya to daycare she was a very nervous pup. She barked
or growled at any new people and when we tried to bring her to the dog park she would just tuck her tail between her legs and run away, overwhelmed by so many
new dogs all at once. When she started being destructive at home, I knew I had to do something. What a wonderful difference going to Tails of The City has made in our girl! She is much more sociaable and outgoing. She is so excited to get there in the mornings that she barks and jumps out of the car to run inside and see all her friends. When she comes home in the afternoon she is completely worn out from all the playtime and she is content to curl up on the couch instead of chew it. And on her latest outing to the dog park, she ran and played for over an hour with a whole pack of dogs she’d never met before. Thanks so much for helping our pooch become a happy healthy dog! -- Mickey, Freya’s Mom

Dot: Our dog Dot was rescued from an situation by animal control. To our horror shortly after she came to live with us she started to mutilate herself and our home while we were at work. At the suggestion of our veterinarian we started looking for an animal behaviorist and a doggie daycare. Dot is a very sweet, loving and loyal dog but requires a certain type of person, as she is VERY leery of people. We quickly found the appropriate animal behaviorist for her but we were having a hard time finding the right doggie daycare and started looking for other alternatives. The animal behaviorist suggested we try Tails of The City. I called and stopped bu to check thing out. The facility was pleasant and clean and most importantly, I liked Olivia and Elaine and thought Dot would too. Long story short Tails of The City saved us and our dog from an extremely difficult situation. Dot is very excited every morning when we arrive at Tails of The City and is completely tuckered out when we pick her up. I husband and I are very thankful to know that our dog is in good hands while we are at work.--Kelly, Dot’s Mom

Luther: If only I could LIVE at doggie day care", thinks Luther, our very happy Lab. Luther loves day care because he plays ball, tug and anything else he can think of. Then, he comes home exhausted. We all know a tired dog is a good dog! We are not sure who benefits more from day care- us or Luther. He gets to play all day in a safe environment and we get a day of rest and productivity. Plus, Elaine and Olivia are wonderful people and very trustworthy.
--Luther's Mom & Dad, Erick & Lisa
Mimi and Maggie: Doggie Daycare!? Why? That's what we thought until we had Maggie and Mimi there a few times. They love it and are being spoiled rotten. During their time there they have learned to play with each other better and interact well with other dogs. Elaine and Olivia are not only professional but also loving and caring. Definitely Doggie Daycare at Tails of The City!!! --Maggie & Mimi's parents, Sherry and Manfred
Zanny: Zanny was an 8 month old dog rescued through a shelter, adopted by our family in 2003. We were thrilled to find Tails of The City so that Zanny could develop good dog social skills and perfect her tennis game! The group of dogs and their owners at TOTC are very lucky to be in Elaine and Olivia’s care. It’s always fun here!
--Zanny's Mom, Debra

Morton: Tails of The City is the BEST. If I tell Morton he is going to “school”, he cocks his head and his eyes light up! When I pull into the parking lot at Tails of The City, he jumps from seat to seat in excitement. Tails wagging and all!! Most of the time Elaine, Olivia or Ondie hear him and are waiting at the door to greet him as he jumps out of the car. The staff loves him as if he were their own. He gets to play outside in the water, do his Lab dance for his friends and he can even take a nap on a couch. He comes home worn out and happy! --Gina, Morton’s Mom
